greenbar Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 we split our birds the other day there,i moved 4 ,2yr old cocks through to the breeding section, there are only 8 boxs in this section, the ones that are already housed in there are knocking ten bells of s**t out of them.how do i settle them in,
just ask me Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 lock the older ones in there boxes or move the to another loft and lock up there boxes 2 days should be enough for them to hold there own
greenbar Posted August 14, 2014 Author Report Posted August 14, 2014 there are 8 birds 8 boxes. no perches, do think putting a couple of make shift perches would help.if not will go with the 1st( lock the buggers up for a couple of days,)
andy Burgess Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 lock the older ones in there boxes or move the to another loft and lock up there boxes 2 days should be enough for them to hold there own as above ,i wouldnt add additional perches , that would only make the problem worse . oh and good luck .
paddymac Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 Andy's right, if you add any perches they'll opt for them and wont settle for any of the available boxes. Lock the older birds up to give them a chance to settle
