Don't know where some fanciers get the idea that BOP don't hunt in wet weather, had an attack on some of my y bds An hour ago and it was chucking it down, rcoming back in ones and twos still 5 to come .

Some people seem to think that the BOP are fair weather hunters but they need food like all the rest of us do and hunt in any weather . Some days you don't want to go out of the house cause the weathers crap but you still see the ferals flying about going to the fields.you see some of the comments on here watch your doos the BOP haven't eaten for 2 days cause of the rain or something like that bolox they hunt in all weather

they will not spend as much time in the air when its wet as they are usless when soaking but yes they have to eat so will go out in the rain have had them here at birds when pouring , the only disadvantage they have is on a good day they see pigeons from miles away when its over caste and vis is not good the pigeons have less chance of being spotted but they are there although prob spend good bit of time drying out .

There metabolism rate is quite high so cant go to long without a kill

I think they prefer not to hunt but they need to kill at least once a day or risk dehydration they get there're fluids from the blood I think
