duncandoo Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 i think they will struggle to fill that post lennon has done it for a long time also heard a rumor that it will be fifty pence a bird i thought the fed made a fortune this year going with the national
Guest bigda Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 yep could bring it to £14 a basket then the club looking at 10p above the fed 60p a bird 40X60 =£24X18 races = £432 minimum with out pools ;D

K J Young Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 our fed members pay ( 2009 ) £65.00 Per loft , that covers all transport costs , No wonder your fed has as much dosh in the bank.

Guest WINGS 04 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 You are spot on there why do we need all that money ????
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 You are spot on there why do we need all that money ???? We dont need the money as long as your happy with the transportation that we have at present, i believe that until we have our new transportation it is more than likely that racing in Lanarkshire will become even more expensive.
K J Young Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 I no it costs more for the hire of 2 units to pull the trailers ,how many members (lofts ) have lanarkshire,

budgie Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 If the Fed and Pigeon Sport continues to see itself mainly concearned in commercial terms and ,ignoring its own History,it will be eventually destroyed in the very near future.
Guest bigda Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 on the transport situation, i think there is a lilt of Irish laughter there just now , but the pressing issue is who will take the place of the convoyer J.L. and also the race controller jobs are vacant and would like to hear if there are any proposals for there jobs i would like to see a new transporter also and i am hoping that the fed are not thinking of central marking from netherton, from units that can be rented quite cheaply

Guest Davy Fleming Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 The Almond Valley Federation pay 32p bird and it is well and more than enough to cover costs for approx 1000 - 1100 birds per race so don't know where all the costs come from . Your right wings give some thing back to the members ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Guest bigda Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 if that was the case there would be a sudden death in the ml1 area of lanarkshire
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 that says it all gareth you are right Rab that says it all

Almond Valley has been blessed to have a gentleman in Freddie Jaimeson who has looked after his members very well since the organisation was formed 4 or 5 years ago 8) 8).
Guest bigda Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 are we buying or just, looking again this year ;D ;D that will be now the third - forth year window shopping :o

When do you actually think Lanarkshire will buy new transporters Gareth
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 ;D ;D ;D :o Will depend on what happens at the AGM ;) It should be remembered that the biggest stumbling block is the Euro and if it were to go back to the levels of 2007 when it was at 1.45 well then it would have just about been viable. Extra funds will only come from the members of the fed and it will be them who decides if they want to go down this road.
Guest Davy Fleming Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 AYE YOU ARE RIGHT GARETH WE ARE EXTREMELY FORTUNATE ON THIS ONE MATE ;)
Guest WINGS 04 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 tam if it was up to gareth we would have a new one but it is not and that is why we are still looking and will be for the next few years but i do still think that with a younger commitie we could get there with sales and B/B and quizes and put that with the money we have would not take long but we need the holl fed to help and get it going
