Yesterday the birds in our district were making such a racket that I went outside to see what was alarming them, the next door neighbour called me over to say that a new neighbour opposite had been out in the garden with a bird of prey. Any one any info on law regarding these please P.M.

A guy that lived next door to me used to keep an Eagle Owl (huge *expletive removed*) a Tawny Owl a Harris Hawk and a Peregrine Falcon. He had them out in the garden all day on perches and they made some feckin noise when they were getting fed.

the Doo's never batted an eyelid about them they just stood on the edge of the loft roof looking at them. All the time they were there I was never hit by a hawk at the loft. Different story now he's moved.

Update.

Bird was in fact a sparrowhawk which sat on a perch in the back garden lady owner said she thought it was a falcon until a friend told her otherwise.Yesterday while I was out she decided to let the bird have its liberty the bird flew around landed on a house then flew into a neighbours window breaking its neck. The lifeless body was then attacked by a group of crows. It seems you don't have to have any knowledge of birds or common sense to keep raptors.

make a complaint to your local council, telling them that its disturbing the songbirds in the gardens, (if you have a good neighbour would be best coming from them )
