a good old fancier told me years ago dont worry about the birds you lose worry about the birds that get home if you lose a good bird and you have good stock another will come through to take its place sounds hard but its true pigeon racing has changed over the years and im afraid its get tough or get get out

Bang on Walter I have my old mentor say the same thing oh he also said once they are in the wheelie bin they will never prove u wrong :animatedpigeons:

Frank as a distance man yourself do you think darkening youngsters has any detriment to the pigeon later in life?

Having 2 teams off ybs wouldnt help though because I'd have them to get out plus old birds cocks and hens twice down at the current lofts that's 6 hours plus an 8 hour shift fk knackerd just typing that lol

George quite the opposite it works in well with my old bird prep. For the nat,s and allows me to really test my yearlings and 99 / of my birds that score from 550 Mls Plus are all darkness the fanciers that say it harms them are the non believers in darkness so a big NO it doesn't affect good birds at all
