Normal hatching is 18-21 days Gazza, looks like the eggs are blank or dead in the shell, possibly caused by the moving and settling in at yours. Hopefully you'll have better luck next round :animatedpigeons:

ok. Don't just chuck them, first hold the eggs up to a light.......... you need to learn to see if the eggs have chicks in or are clear (unfertilised). Eggs that are clear will have a translucent appearance, the ones with chicks in will look solid. As they've been sitting for 24 days they're either dead in the shell or clear. One at a time hold them up to a light and decide if they are clear or not, then break the egg to find out whats inside. This will learn you what to look for in the future, you'll be able to tell if the eggs are any good after they've been sitting for 10 days.

Why they haven't hatched I cant say.

im with pat empty or chilled with birds getting off them for some reason gazz

in this cold weather it only takes un covered eggs 30 to 45 mins to chill i see it with my yearlings every year if i leave them out to long at this time of year thats why i seldom breed off them just the odd pair that have won as yb once the weather heats up they can be off the eggs for hours and have even sent both cock and hen to a race in warm weather and the eggs still hatched after being left overnight eggs are amazing at times tough wee things

thats good there full gazz but the damage might already have been done m8 if the birds were off the eggs for to long the eggs chill and dont hatch even if full if they have not hatched in say 21 22 days they are not going to hatch cause the yb inside have died but i hope this is not the case and you just have dates mixed up good luck with them m8

Like you say Gazza its trial and error at the beginning mate, the eggs are being incubated now more than 24 days so I would chuck them in the bin now and let the birds go down again on their 2nd nest which will only take around 10 days and with the birds more settled now you should have a good hatch next time around and have a nice team of Ybs all around the same age that you can wean together :animatedpigeons:
