Guest IB Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 Read this in the current (15/12/2009) Nobilis PMV Vaccine leaflet yesterday:- 'Vaccination within 4 weeks of the start of the breeding season is not recommended. No information is available on the safety of this product during the reproduction period. The last Colombovac leaflet I have is dated July 2011. It says 'Do not use on birds in lay or within 4 weeks before the onset of the laying period. Vaccination is safe in breeding birds provided they are vaccinated before the start of breeding.' Both vaccines say it needs to be done a few weeks before the birds are paired up. Neither says why.
