There was a post on here a couple of weeks ago about a farm if Fife selling good quality Barley, no mention of Wheat on it, but for the life of me i can't recall the name of the farm. emoticon-0179-headbang.gif

Is their any difference between Belgian barley and wheat from what is grown here in Scotia ?. Answers only please from those in the know.

 

mallting barley, would be differant as the ground in scotland would have a different PH than that of Belgium , the difference would be in the taste i think there are 4 types of barley grown in Scotland we use most to make whiskey and the Belgium's use it more for beer. Barley is used surprisingly to fatten cattle or oats , where as wheat cant do that.
