Answers only please from those in the know. mallting barley, would be differant as the ground in scotland would have a different PH than that of Belgium , the difference would be in the taste i think there are 4 types of barley grown in Scotland we use most to make whiskey and the Belgium's use it more for beer. Barley is used surprisingly to fatten cattle or oats , where as wheat cant do that.
