Henrik Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 ShamblesIn what way was it a Shambles?
stevie bannon Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 Auctioneer a joke and pulling raffles before birds all sold
Henrik Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 Nothing wrong with that, actually makes sense as if you wait till the end you have people leaving, trying to pay for birds and shouting out ticket numbers, then again if you want to volunteer your services for next year Stevie, I,ll put your name forward
stevie bannon Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 Put my name forward for auctioneer no probs as.most of the hall knew it was wrong he was missing commision bids etc just a joke
paddymac Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 Have to say I was well pleased as I phoned the secy one evening during the week expressing my interest in one of the lots on offer and he agreed to phone me today during the auction when the bird I was interested in was coming up which he did this afternoon with the result that I was able to get the bird I was after although my pockets are a bit lighter  Thankyou Andy
Henrik Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 Commisions shouldnt have been missed, but should have been someone there bidding on behalf of the commisions, usually done by the Secy
stevie bannon Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 He put the hammer down in the hall when a commision bidder was on the phone and never took a bid
tiger Posted September 8, 2013 Author Report Posted September 8, 2013 at the end of the day the snfc is lot better off £££££££££££££££££££££££ :emoticon-0167-beer:
Henrik Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 He put the hammer down in the hall when a commision bidder was on the phone and never took a bidHe wouldnt be the first auctioneer to do this and wont be the last either, seen it done at bigger sales than this. Mistakes are things that all humans are prone to making, so mibe we,ll see how you get on next year.
