We would like to offer the fancy a select draft of quality 2013 young birds/late breds from up to date winning lofts or breeders of top performance pigeons.

 

This is one of the strongest clubs in the Scottish Central Federation, where members are regularly topping the Fed and winning multiple top prizes.

 

Money raised will go towards club funds.

 

The auction will begin Saturday 7th Sept @ 9pm and finish Saturday 14th Sept @ 9pm with no 5 min rule.

 

Starting bids £30 per bird.

 

We would prefer all bids to be posted on this thread.

 

On behave of the Club members I would like to thank our fellow fanciers who kindly donated to the sale.

What a way to start the sale!!!

 

Over the years Henry has been flying exceptionally well with his small team of widowhood cocks, with this season being no different.

2013 can only be described as a dream season for Henry, winning 9 x 1st Club and 5 x 1st Federation, plus numerous other top Club & Fed prizes.

The majority of his winning birds are based on his own family crossed with bloodlines from his good friend and fellow club member Alistair Hogg.

This is the first of two young birds offered by myself.

 

Both parents were bred by M & D Evans, Myrtle Lofts.

 

Sire: Direct son from two of Myrtle Lofts top breeders, “Jester 888†& “Uno Henâ€, both responsible for numerous top class pigeons. “Jester 888†is a direct son from the world famous breeding couple “Jester†& “Carrieâ€. Who are parents to over eight generations of winners at Federation, Combine, Classic & National level. They are responsible for over 1,500 x 1st prize winners and 6 x 1st Open National winners. "Jester" was bred by Gaby Vandenabeele. He is a direct son from the "Late Kleinen" direct son of Gaby's foundation breeder the "Kleinen" when paired to "Ellen". Mother to "Jester" is "Beauty" direct daughter from "Bijter" when paired to "Bontje 065". "Carrie†was bred by Gaby Vandenabeele. She is a direct daughter from "Schone Wittenbuik" direct daughter of the world famous "Wittenbuik" when paired to "Crack Duivin". Mother to "Carrie" is "Norberta" direct daughter from "Blauwen Angoule" when paired to "Soutairaine". The “Uno Hen†was purchased by Myrtle Lofts at D & E Armstrong’s entire clearance sale in 2003 for a very large sum of money, as she carries some of the best Gaby Vandenabeele bloodlines and being a proven breeder. She is a daughter of the super breeder “Don Juan†when paired to a daughter of “Uno†who was a winner of 1st National Bourges 1989, 1st Prov. Asduif KBDB 1989, also sire of “Uno†was 1st National La Souterraine 25,545 birds. As a matter of interest “Don Juan†is a direct son from the best Gaby Vandenabeele breeding cock of all times “Kleinenâ€.

 

Dam: Direct daughter from top breeding couple for M & D Evans “Legend†& “Julieâ€.

“Legend†is a direct son from “Eisenhower†& “Golden Lady†and a winner of 19 prizes.

"Eisenhower" was bred by Myrtle Lofts and sold to D Blenkhorn for £250 as a young bird and because of his outstanding breeding record for producing winners he was then purchased back for £9,500. Since "Eisenhower" was returned to Myrtle Lofts he has bred several top class racers and foundation breeders who have in turn bred multiple winners. He is sire to over five generation of winner's right through to 1st Classic & 1st National level for different fanciers around the world. "Eisenhower" is a direct son from Myrtle Lofts No1 breeding pair "Shadow" & "Saffron". These bloodlines are responsible for winners in almost every major race in the UK.

“Julie†was bred by M & D Evans and sold to D Blenkhorn and in her first year at stock bred four cocks that went on to win 71 prizes between them. Her sire is a son from Champion breeder “Shadow†when paired to “Golden Ladyâ€.

Lot 3. Peter Keogh

 

Late bred (just weaned)

 

Peter flew in a partnership for a number of years, but for the past 2 – 3 years has been flying on his own, with great success.

Since he moved his loft back to Winchburgh village he has been competing extremely well with his small team of widowhood cocks.

He has accumulated numerous top Club and Federation prizes in such a short space of time, which is no surprise as every bird must earn its perch.

Peter has brought in the best bloodlines possible and is slowly creating his own family of birds through his very strict selection process and management system.

 

The late bred on offer is from his John Bosworth x Jim Callan stock of performance pigeons in SNFC from 350 – 550 miles.

 

Sire:“725†Cock – Bred by John Bosworth.

Direct from John’s 11th Open Alencon 2012, 17th Open Eastbourne 2011 hen.

Sire of “725†is a winner of 30th & 105th Open Ypres.

As you can see “725†is bred for the stock loft from John’s performance family of Leo Van Rijn x Bosworth pigeons with 1st Open Rennes, 1st Open Eastbourne plus other multi SNFC winning pigeons in the immediate pedigree.

 

Dam:“51761†Hen – Bred by J Callan, Lesmahagow.

She is a winner of 94th Open Newbury plus 44th Open Eastbourne as a yearling.

Then later in 2007 she was purchased at Dale Newcombe’s sale.

 

If it’s a bird with good potential to win at National level from 350 – 550 miles then this is the young bird for you.

Lot 4. Alistair Hogg

Alistair has established himself as one of the UK’s top fanciers when it comes to One Loft racing.

He regularly competes at most of the top One Loft Races around the world, where he has achieved numerous outstanding performances.....far too many to mention.

Although Alistair hasn’t raced domestically for a couple of years his bloodlines are winning consistently for other fanciers across the UK and as far afield as China.

 

Here we have a family of pigeons that are competing against the world’s best, and most cases, in extreme conditions.

Flying in partnership with his wife, Tam has been very successful over the years with his family of pigeons that have achieved numerous top prizes.

Their bloodlines have been winning from 60 – 500 miles at all levels of racing. They have performed exceptionally well racing with the SNFC, picking up their fair share of open positions, and not to mention Club & Federation prizes.

It would have to be said that when the going gets tough these birds get going.

 

Stop Press – Last weekend T & G Weir win 1st & 3rd Open Scottish Central Federation YB Open.

 

Sire: No1 Jan Aarden stock cock – Bred by Ian Axe.

This cock has been breeding winning pigeons from day one in Federation and National racing.

This lovely hen was purchased at the late Toddler Brown’s bereavement sale.

There were no details on the pen but a very nice looking hen and with Toddler being a master at the distance it was worth taking a chance with her, and she hasn’t disappointed by breeding birds to achieve 91st Open Ypres 2013, 127th Open Clermont 2011, 256th Open Eastbourne etc….

Both parents were bred by D & J Hawkins, Fieldview Lofts.

His Janssen based family of birds have been achieving fantastic results all over the UK & Ireland, right through to National level.

 

It has been proved over the years that Dave is a breeder of top performance pigeons.

Although flying in a new partnership, Willie is certainly no stranger to the winner’s enclosure.

Over the years he has accumulated several outstanding performances at Club, Federation, Amal, National & One Loft racing. His ever present family of Van Loons have really stood the test of time having achieved numerous top prizes, but Willie is always on the lookout for quality pigeons and has introduced other families (Andre Clement, Frans Zwol etc) to improve his performances and on most occasions they have.

Not only are these birds winning for themselves but they are winning for other fanciers across the country.

This season has been no different where he has accumulated numerous 1st Club and 1st Fed prizes plus other top positions.

Over the years he has introduced the best of the Gaby Vandenabeele bloodlines of M & D Evans, with no expense spared. It is a well-known fact this family of pigeons have been winning at the highest level around the world for a number of years whether it be Club, Fed, Combine, Classic, National or One Loft Racing, these birds seem to have the edge to get in front.

Gordon is one of the most consistent fanciers in the Central Federation who is never far away from the top of the result come race day.

 

Unfortunately I don’t have any details of the parents of the young bird he has kindly donated, but have been assured that it will be bred from the best of his Gaby Vandenabeele pigeons.......enough said!!!
