I have a pent roof loft and its ok but if I had to build a new one I would go for a tiled apex roof because I like idea of the roof space above the birds for the air to rise into and escape !! the only thing is they are abit more expensive

I have a apex tiled roof and have fitted a full length ceiling with vents to tiled piece because far to much air space with no control over draughts and temperature changes birds are performing much better now also far to much bloom gathers in apex roof .

as long as its got good ventilation and is dry all year round you wont be far short of the mark regardless of roof type just dont overcrowd

Apex looks better but pent works better for air flow J.M.O
