Novice Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Just heard the new's there, there has been a 90% drop in the Turtle dove population since the 90's the RSPB said they will need to investigate the problem,DOH,what is it that they don't get.It beggar's belief. They know the cause but they are just not prepared to share that with the general public. They will eventually appeal for funds to preserve the food supply for their flagship killers.
Guest chad3646 Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 the rspb said the decline of the turtle doves was because we had a wet summer and they could not breed believe that if you will
eastcoaster Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Came home today to find a collar dove torn to pieces so was on watch all night ! Unfortunately I lost a yb but so did the rspb lovers .
john cumming Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 the rspb blamed everything from the weather to farming practices and everything in between except surprisingly enough " raptor predation " john
