Fife Federation Members

I,m having to pass this information on regarding contacting myself, due to a phone call i received at 9.05pm on Sunday night.

When i do the result, i try my best to get it out quickly and more importantly, correctly.

However, there will be issues that may arise, whether it be missing information, wrong distances ect ect.

The first result that i put out is a preliminary result, which basically means that should there be any issues needing addressed, then they will be, before the final result is published.

Up and till this point, i would gladly receive calls from any of the 130 members within Fife Federation.

However when i received a call on Sunday night from a member, who all he wanted to do was prove that he was right, and i was wrong, that is now going to change.

Sadly i am reverting back to rule regarding results, where if there is an issue to be dealt with, it will be put in writing to myself within 7 days of the preliminary result being put out.

As it happened, i had said that i didnt have the members distance, when i did. This was not intentional to, but more of any oversight (after rechecking his pools sheet).

I will gladly deal with club officials at any time. But i cannot receive calls of this nature, and i hope that the members appreciate where i am coming from.

I am very grateful to the membership who have shown their appreciation for the work i do (as did this member in question).

This is not aimed at vindicating this member in question, but to eliminate unnecessary uncomfortable calls.

Can you please pass on my request to all members within your clubs please, and once again thank you very much for your support.

Ave just read what has been written on here regarding phone calls about the result to yourself Alex, for one minute i dont think the call was as bad as what has been written on an open forum.

You are the race secretary for the Fife Federation, yes but when you say that the result, is it the final result or a premilimanary result, i cant mind if that has been written when you posted it up, any objections within 7 days is correct.

Vice President, i think you are wrong on what you have posted, again, i think you are stirring the shete as normal.

Hey Presto,you have been congratulated on your win, but to come out with a statement like what you have written is totally not asked for, i think an apology is required Dave.

Whitty, you seem to have been the person thats contacted the race secretary, and you have every right like all Fife Federation members, you have owned up to the call.

So i think people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones.

Dougie you really need to get some facts correct before having your say.

I know what happened as does austin and the member in question.

It wont happen again.

I AM the race secretary, i am also a husband and father, and that comes first before anything else.

Aleck, i have a say in what i think, you dont have to tell me, but hey, you ARE the race secretary for the Fed, and am glad owe that, at least we will see a Fed Result on here every week, but dont spit the dummy out to quick. You are a Husband and Father, i understand that also, it was your decision to take the position on and no one elses.
