Guest IB Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 I think it may be more a sign of the times with fewer local clubs and greater distances to travel to marking. Never really thought about it till now, I have only been in 3 local clubs, and they have all been within easy walking distance of where I lived at the time. My first was the furthest walk, back when I was a teenager, maybes half a mile. Don't remember anyone driving to the marking station back then and the only 'wheels' parked outside the hut were of the bogie and pram variety.
