Plenty house sparrows in the garden today the first time iv seen so many in years there used to be hundreds off them but they seemed to dissapear are they making a comeback or will they suffer the same fate as the pigeons do with the hawks ? nice to see them making a recovery bad for spreading disease if they can access your loft tho

the crows (carrion) go for them and other birds ina big way when they are feeding young, they take the wood pigeons youngsters out the nest as well, even our pigeons,

i had carrion crows attacking my yb's the second year i had pigeons there was alot of them nesting in the trees just at the end of my street they were relentless attacking em on the roof and even in the air pulling the tails out off them i was surprised how bad they were i shared the story with a few pigeomen and the wise pigeomen believed me but the others where rubbishing the story even tho half my birds were without tails and i witnessed every attack i dont know where the crows went to they dissapeared i wonder if the council culled them as there right next to houses? only the 1 year that happened and now there gone the hawks av moved in on there territory

I had to close up my loft one year, they killed 8 of my old birds and taking them out the sky, I had one nest just 20yds from my house last year, I left it and it turned out ok, kept chasing the BOP and never touched my birds, but yes they are as bad if not worse if they start on your birds, they kill to kill not just eat, when nesting will chase anything,
