lanarkshire lad Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 Unfortunatley the hen was lost from a short race as a two year old after flying from Maidstone as a yearling. The cock xxxxxx at ten year old considered being too old. What I would like to say is I do BELIEVE IN A CLICK FROM DIFFERENT GENES. The hen was from my Brugemann pigeons and the cock was from Jock allan of Symingtonblood.Looks like the Golden Hen got away did the Cock leave anything else in the years he was there .Andy I am like you I think its good thing to breed from the youth in your team but I know for a fact that its not Essential.

sammy Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Andy what strike rate would you class a Pre potent pair - Just my opinion but 1 in 6 at channel racing is pretty good, anything else is specialRod Adams stated the same but he never new which one to give away.If you can hit a Pre-potent Hen i belive the odds go down to 1/4.I bought a daughter this year from Marys Boy 1st Open Snfc Clermount. Its mother Mary 11 times a prizewinner in Snfc Open comptetion when paired to a Bl Pied whos mother Classic Gold 5 times Scottish National Open winner on the Dams side of the youngster we purchased again we have another Silver award winner which gets me thinking that its the Tale Grand Dams we should be looking at to fill our lofts with Snfc winners which i belive was the case with Wullie Wilson of Larkhall and the Rankins Grizzle hen .Anywie all the Best to all in 2013 and only time will tell. By the way Geordie Brownlies pair was almost a Sect Winner in every nest. come on budgie yir no leaving it like that tell us more about the tail grand dam
