fred x Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 If I bring in pigeons from another loft & they state that the pigeons have been vaccinated. But I don't know what Vaccine have been used!!. If I vaccinate with a Vaccine that would be not the same. ie: I use Colombovac & say They have been done with BelgVac would it harm the birds???????If we on the chat have a Vet at hand that would be great!!

Wait at least 4 weeks before you re-vaccinate mate there be fine.
Guest IB Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 For many years Colombovac would go off-supply without warning leaving UK fanciers with only Nobilis to vaccinate birds that had previously been done with Colombovac. Been in that position and saw no adverse affect on pigeons, but it did do my gun in.

I must admit I thought that the new BELGVAC was licensed as well but obviously not.
buster151 Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 I must admit I thought that the new BELGVAC was licensed as well but obviously not. it was when the others were out of stock last year

Funny but when people were saying they had problems in some parts of the country getting Colombovac we didnt seem to have problems in this area, surely if it was licensed then it would still be now.
Delboy Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 Havent used Colombovac for several years as it doesnt stop pigeons contracting PMV. I use Nobivac, the oil based one with much better results.ps.Another one to avoid is Chevi p200, this also is useless.
