looks like the price of feed could rocket next year as the farmers have had a very bad harvest this year.

Aye Geordie, the price of Maize is gonna hit an all time high price next year. Usually either the USA or Russia have a bumper when the other is poor so can trade with it, this time though the problem is Global and the price will reflect it.

didnt the usa sell all there grain to china or was it other way about? n yeah rich farmers atleast they earn it unlike the seed merchants that just bag it after polishing n make alot more than the farmer at out expense ya should all stop buying fancy seeds n support the farmers direct then you will see the fancy polished seed going back down in price the best racing that yas had way back none the seed was polished infact most come straight off the railway lines that wa had fallen out the wagons freeee

all grown in soil rather get mine direct from grower than pay over odds for polished corn in a fancy bag :)

i have not raced for 6 years now but have noticed the prices are high for pigeon corn personally think you are better off getting a few club members together and buying a ton of pigeon corn to keep costs down.

I've plenty of storage bins like to keep them full then price rises don't hit for a wee while ;)

If the crops are bad there should be more grain available for animal feed, as most of it would not be fit for human consumption, I know locally that the maize crop was late being harvested so the grain is poorer quality not picked at the optimum time.
