pjc Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Maplins have some good deals on CCTV kits, we got a 4 cam set which gives excellent pictures, save recordings for 50days and we can watch remotely via our smart phones etc.

dal2 Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Have just used wired cammera's but wireless are available.Very easy to install and set up.Ye wired always best. Network cameras and DIY stuff http://www.sctltd.co.uk/acatalog/cctv_Cheap.html Always prompt service and will sell better equipment at quite reasonable prices There are loads of diffo cameras for day/night use and anybody with a wired system should look at the twilight series of cameras as they are very well priced and give excellent results

dal2 Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Make sure the night rateing is zero and you get perfect pictures in the darkYe but the images that some cameras produce to others can be misleading although all with zero lux rating! But if you get something that works then yer laughing!!!! No need for footcandles charts I know
