Dropped Flights

Hi all 1st post ,when would you stop the young 1,s from racing on what flight they,ve dropped,. Got some going on there 3rd some there 4th and only started training to 10 ml . All replys much appreciated .been told to keep training which i,m doing

to me it all depends on there body moult more than there flight moult until they on there last 3 flights then be careful with them

Personally - Once they're down to 6 flights to go, I don't send as they always seem to 'go down' (these are darkness youngsters though)

When they drop their 5th flight the body moult kicks in. Try to avoid sending them when bald around the head, when the cover feathers of the wings fall (you'll notice this when you handle them, they feel knotty) & be careful after they've body moulted making sure no's 8,9 & 10 flights aren't just pushing through.
