Well woke up this morning and went out to loft and let my 40 yb out... Got a strike from percy AGAIN. So thats me finished am afraid. Thanks for all advice to help problem but I aint enjoying it any more. I am unsure about racing yb's out then quitting or just giving up now. But loft will be sold and all stock thats there thats helped my father and myself win multiple races 50-380 miles and many many Federation tickets

Sad day but when its time its time.

I also have a load of birds I only keep for showing that will be going. They have won many 1st prizes at open level including best in shows. Most of them are Delbar or Dordins unflown and some young birds that are in race team

good luck in the future whatever you do Brian :animatedpigeons:

i know you like the shows Brian and cant understand why you dont just keep your show ones

as most succesfull show men i know and knew never let them out so as they say no bop probs

you should keep your hand in with somthing

Can't win on that front either mate... I went round buying birds for there beauty and never raced them or let them out! Took them to the shows and get slated for being in a likliest class against doo's racing all summer while mine are sitting in loft!! So decided to scrap that and start racing them and now the bop have fecked that also! So its a no win situation am afraid and I hate the out and out show racers as they are boring

sorry to here of your troubles brian, i can see the sport finishing up within 6 years max, and the only doos, and doo men will be at the blackpool show. no more pigeon racing men, just the home kept show doo.

There are over 1100 views and very few opinions That tells you why the sport is almost dead ,Pigeon men can`t or wont stick together.

sorry you have taken that decision Brian, can`t believe a Rosewell man would give up .(i`m ex Bonnyrigg man). all the best
