Many moons ago the late Ken Hines purcharsed my good cock Heineken which scored three times in the LNR Combine from Lerwick a distance of almost 600mls to me. He told me that he felt that Lerwick was much harder to get pigeons from than Pau, Never flown Pau myself, was interested in your thoughts

Without a shadow of doubt, as most good fanciers whom have flown both state that Lerwick is by far the hardest race anywhere. I myself have no doubt also to it.

Many believe that lerwick is possible the hardest race any country included.

Was ata moot last seasons end, when some National flyers were asked the same question. Every single one said (All five) Lerwick.

Like one said, Pau returns soon forgotten, now if one has a good lerwicke race, then they will alway remember that and mention till the day they die.

From a Neutral point of view i think Lerwick would be the hardest due to the terrain the birds encounter early on, BUT if it was Lerwick v Barcelona the prestige of timing from Barcelona would out do Lerwick. jmo.
