This pigeon has been in my garden for the last couple of days (stoke on trent). I have fed and watered it but there are a lot of cats around so a little worried for the poor fella.

This ring was issued to a club in Crewe, the secretaries phone number is 01270 213193,but the bird needs to be contained before anyone can collect it.

Thank you, i have called to let them know he is here, but containing it is a whole diferent ball game!. It is now on our shed laughing at our attempts!

The pigeon now comes everyday and i cant catch it....any ideas? Do i just accept it isnt going home!

an old trick is a laundry basket ,propped up with a stick ,length of string tied to the stick ,place some seed under the basket ,when its pecking away ,pull quickly on the string .you could also ask locally if anybody near keeps pigeons and see if they can help?? good luck.
