Suppose it's just a case of moving with the times I'm afraid , It's either ets or t3's

some people do not want to change or cant afford ets is this not the companys trying to force a system on fanciers yet again

Had the same problem mucker, but i got help from the secretary of the UNC who sold me 10. The problem was that they had stitched them too small, so everyone had to return them, for new ones. But your right, they are cutting back on making them, and concentrating on the ets side of things.

Hi Tyson, use your old one, put your old Ribbon in a little plastic bag and pour ink into the bag and let it soak for a 10-15 minutes it works fine.

Hi mate,I use a dropped flight feather dipped in light oil, turn key so strike pad is as far off ribbon as pos.rub the flight over the ribbon a few times and then strike the clock. If you've put too much on wipe pad with kitchen roll, try a few strikes till it's OK.

Better less than too much,or you might not be able to see time strike when you clock a bird.

I think it's more a case of supply and demand , no company's going to make a product such as ribbons for a clock that's classed as obsolete and make a loss no business would operate in that way , they still can upgrade to a t3 or ets so no-one is enforcing ets on them but a t3 clock can cost to change battery's and servicing . I bet none of your members are using a central clocking point at post office as they did in days gone by , we have to move with the times , many may not like ets but t3's will be around for a while yet or you could always try getting the dials for a toulet ;)

ets can be a lot more expensive with the losses now adays count it up at £1.50 a ring a lot of pensioners could not afford this no wonder older members are given up the sport if this is going to happen once again a system being forced on fanciers who do not want it
