Hi I was just wondering on how much maize you need in a mixture for inland and then channel?

Because most people have told me to buy two types of widowhood mixes and put them together but by doing that does that make the percentage of maze to high for the mix any help would be great as i am confused and dont know what to do.

Thank you

Been checking the widowhood mixtures I use and would say for inland racing theres about 30% maize in the one I use at the beginning of the week and about 40% in the one I use wed.thurs.The channel mix would be about 40%but saying that some organisations only feed maize to the birds when channel racing.

By the way do you race in the SEVERN VALLEY FED.

breed and wean is best when rearing ybs, obs will always leave maize when feeding you can also get yb no maize this is also good for rearing ybs, i only use maize when racing.

i know when my pigeons are in form when on a friday morning my pigeons only take maize from the grain and nothing else when that happens i am confident that i have done my part of the job right. I've mixed my own grain for quiet a few years now the grain i am experimenting with this year, its 1/3rd maize and i am finding they are flying the skies out at the moment.

I race my w/h cocks up to 300miles and am in the process of looking for a mix with around 40% maize in. I use to feed Natural Concord but cant get hold of it now.
