THE ORACLE HAS LANDED :partick-thistle-Crest::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer: have had a few 7 8 9 year old done well for me john , same as yerselfs but if affy hard evading percy for aw them years nowadays more the shame :emoticon-0156-rain:

bob always thought "shot wattle" rennes oldest and "cockpen heatwave" for the shorter distance, canny think any doo over 8 or 9 has won the national, but maybe some body knows.certainly do not think we will see many oldies racing never mind winning nationals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :partick-thistle-Crest:

"NO SURRENDER" 63rd 38th 13th 55th and 100th open for his gold award,6000 to 7000 doos in the 1970s,what a doo and fancier. :partick-thistle-Crest:

NB "TOWNFOOT GOOD BOY 2" was 1st section 4th open snfc rennes at 10 years old!!!!!!!!!!

would have said "cockpen heatwave" at 9 yrs old "shot wattle" was 8 yrs old when winning rennes, remember Sam Sammons of Aberdeen winning the north section with a 12 year old but who knows with fanciers happy at times of the year to use old rings!!!! :) :)

Aye the Jock Allan "No Surrender" was some tool :emoticon-0137-clapping: one of his many

Will find out the age McLean's "No Surrender" was when it won Rennes but I think I've picked it up wrong.Cannae see it being ten when it won Rennes even though it was a very stiff race and at a time when folk seemed to be scoring well with older doos.

jock had pictures on his living room wall of "no surrender" "bright eyes" "irish mick" "pleasant surprise" all gold award winners, was always a great bit of history and always caught my attention when at jocks for tea and cheese on toast or roasted cheese.  think "mill monarch" was also there!!!! :)

nope she was 8yrs and was flying well last year untill basketting for eastbourne , she had her outside flight brocken earlier in the season and i had decided to splice in another , cut it down super glued in a peice of cocktail stick (plasic one ) stuck the new flight on looked great , when to put her in the basket and disaster :emoticon-0138-thinking: the bloody superglue had run and it stuck to my finger unknowon and as i let her go the whole bloody flight pulled out at the root , it hadent even fully grown in bye ypres . She had her 5 prep races and im sure i clocked her a few races , then i messed up big time , ive spliced loads of flights on , just my luck !
