First of all I recommend using a good grit such as versa laga with redstone along with just redstone grit also a crushed fabry Ideal block , to this I add seaweed powder and black minerals and 6 to 8 tablespoons of each this fills this mineral station , http://www.bleefe.co.uk/www.bleefe.co.uk/info.php?p=9&pno=0 ( grit pot )

So I told him to go buy some live natural yoghurt , this is firstly a good source of calcium it also supports the immune system by increasing the good bacteria in the gut , remember anytime your bird has a ailment it usually starts within the digestive system somewhere so look after the pigeons gut and your birds with be healthier and have a better immune system ( my biggest secret if I ever had one ), second thing was these pigeons would of been lacking nutrients so I wanted to give them vitamins and the best multivitamin for pigeons is brewers yeast so the yoghurt and brewers yeast was added to the corn also along with crushed cuttle fish and fresh lemon and a bit of mixed grit so the birds eat more grit to return them back to normal and they were back to normal as I said they would be , what a difference a day makes :)

Probably one of the first things I ever read was Pigeons don't have teeth grit is used in the gizzard to help grind the corn to get all the nutrients from it plus giving calcium at the same time , most of the cheapest products and natural product are the ones we should be looking towards using , just because there cheap they shouldn't be discarded as been beneficial to our birds :)
