What age is this hen?

Sometimes a young hen struggles the first time and some old hens have a prolapse!

It does sound as if the blood is coming from the oviduct rather than the gut, which suggests that there is / has been an egg that's been stuck in or damaged 'the eggworks'. If so her egg-laying days are over.

dont sound good for the hen mate.ive seen a bit of blood in the poops before but the hen did lay 2 eggs.blood in the poops can be a sign of cocci.

I always associated blood i the droppings with Cocci too, if it is an Egg broken or malformed inside her that she is passing there will still be calcium deposits amongst the faeces. No calcium? that would mean Cocci to me.
