The 2nd Sun City Car Hotspot Race was held this morning and it was nearly two cars in a row for the UK :cry-blow: .

In todays race the syndicate of R+P Montila from the UK finished a close second with a time of 03:32:36.22 to the winner from Germany, Juergen Stefaniszyn who won with a time of 03:32:28.22.

The SUN CITY OVERALL GRAND AVERAGES after 14 races shows as follows:- 1st to BYRON C WEAVER from UNITED STATES OF AMERICA with pigeon named GARY OWEN with a combined flying time of 17-30-48.60 and leading this classification by 15 minutes 13 seconds. There are a total of 6 different countries represented in the top 10, in fact 6 different countries hold the first 6 positions in this category. The first UNITED KINGDOM pigeon is currently holds 5th and belongs to P and D CLARKE with pigeon named DANNY C and was bred by P and D CLARKE from SEVENASH and it is leading this classification by 22 minutes 53 seconds. It was interesting to note that 10 UK pigeons held positions in the top 83 which is quite an achievement in a race such as this. The first IRISH pigeon is currently holds 245th and belongs to BERNARD SMYTH with pigeon named BOOTS GRANDE and is leading this classification by 47 minutes 15 seconds. WELL DONE TO ALL CONCERNED.

As I read the rules, it just has to be a paid entry, there is no need for the bird to be nominated/pooled

Car Races

Each Car Race carries 20 prizes of US$ 1000 to each of the first 20 paid entries.

Five Motor Vehicles

Should the first Pigeon to win in a Car Race belong to you, you walk away with a brand new Motor Vehicle!

Two Pigeon Challenge

On each of the five Car Races, the team* with the highest combined velocity wins a US$ 2000 prize.

International Challenge Race

On the final Car Race each of the first five countries to have a pigeon home wins US$5000. Thereafter the first pigeon from the remaining countries in the top 250 win US$1000, providing the country has more than three individual entries.
