yes it is a well known fact that bop nos are higher in the west something that i cammeron of lincoln ex ayrshire fancier spent a lot of time investigating for us in ayrshire a few years back

This is one of the questions I am asking , It is also a well known fact that BOP activity on the East side of the country has increased dramatically , BUT IS IT MORE PREVELANT now in the west or is it just an excuse to go east to suit some members ,

as for National racing , you state that there are more Ayrshire fanciers now on the national results than before if I am reading it right, not so!! look back over the years and Ayrshire has had a lot of fantastic performances in the national, by this I dont mean to detract from the great performances put in in recent years by Ayrshire fanciers, but IMO going west would encourage the birds to choose a natural route from the Nationals and not have to dogleg over from the east as they do now .

debate is healthy and maybe we will get it right.

lets not kid ourselves on here they are everywhere,in every town and city ,this is not a debate on pob nos but suitability of race points, going west route for our birds would seem the right thing to do!say the shortist distace between two points is a straight line ! ok .if that were true. in pigeon racing every liberation has a different route generally all going the same way but ,depending on wind etc every race will be different time etc

all we all should wish for in any race should be good times and returns!avoiding any problematic races should always be my proirity, stay away from black spots and keep them safe ,as for national results ,never in the history in my cub say at least the last 25 years or so has there been so many national results , a fact.ask any member who reguraly goes, all threw common sense and being transported together has this occured ,no where in scotland has such a fed started to lift there results at this level of racing as ayrshire, fact !

While I agree with you on staying away from known blackspots , These are both in the east and in the west ,

what are you referring to as being transported together? do you mean with the SNFC?

While it is my ambition to fly nationals , I dont think the inland national programme of the last few years has done any favours to the west coast feds so I and many others that I have spoken too will be hoping that the Ayrshire fed go west, if not then I will just have to get on with it.

There have been numerous debates on here regarding pros and cons on inland nationals,my opinion is that they are here and open to all who want to compete in them , but As as Federation we should have a choice not forced to fly from the east.

we are not forced ,we just go with the majority ,i myself when was told about us going east, thought well that will be different , have no dissolutions about race routes no matter what happens when it comes to the races most of us like to excell at ,flying out of the borders make s no differnce my own birds for these races wont be started till 180mls your very right about the inland national it done us no favours ,but remember it is only a stepping stone for greater races ahead!

If you are not starting your birds until 180 miles, are you going to train them privately before this and if so where are you going to train from?
