my mate has just opened his pocket clock

and shown it to an electrician who confirmed the details of the battery

as a lithium battery number CR 2450 which can be purchased online for 78 pence

the clip which holds the battery is soldered in place

ps- this system belongs to my mate

so he can do with it as he wishes

and i understand that the seal being broken it cannot be used until resealed

yes agree,on the prices, but I think there is a rule regarding the seal been broken other than by the makers,

YES THATS THE STUMBLING BLOCK

WOULD IT NOT BE POSSABLE TO APPROACH THE SHU/RPRA TO COMMISION SOMEONE TO MAKE SEALS

THEN THE SEALS COULD BE ISSUED TO FEDS SO THAT BATTERYS COULD BE DONE LOCALLY

AND COST A FRACTION OF THE EXISTING PRICE

agree m8, the Unions could appoint registered ETC service-rs just like the conventional clocks, the ETS makers couldn't do anything about it,as its the unions that make our clock rules, so something for us all to get to our unions fast

I believe the SHU has a meeting scheduled with Unikon soon to try and bring the price down.Is it not the same as T3,s have to be serviced and new batteries fitted by Linell?
