Guest geordiejen Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 im thinking of going back to it tooshyboy,ive just refelted my loft roof so i will leave it a while in case their is any chemicals in the felt that might cantaminate the water.probably the midgies were feeding off the green algae.when i used this bucket i found out that pigeons could float like ducks as they used to bath in the water also.it rains a lot up here in scotland so im pretty sure the water will not go stagnant lol.

peter pandy Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Their is no need to let tap water stand 24hrs before use. If you put tap water in an open bucket you will smell the chlorine, to clear it you only have to agitate it vigorously for 1 minute and the chlorine will evaporate.
