I Need Pigeon Courier Service To Netherlands

Hi,

 

I need the services of a pigeon courier that would be able to send 12 pigeons to the Netherlands. I have searched the web, and found that most UK Pigeon Couriers do not offer this service.

 

I have e-mailed info@ukpigeoncouriers.co.uk and am awaiting their reply. The one company i obtained a quote from wanted to charge me GBP750 .

 

I have tried to export the pigeons directly from the UK to South Africa, but what a nightmare . Four days ago I e-mailed about 10

Defra approved Official Veterinarians and out of the 10, i received 1 negative reply. Finding an OV that can sign Export Health Certificates is like looking for a needle in a hay-stack. I was then advised to ship via the Netherlands and this is the quickest and best option for me.

I am in South Africa trying to organise the export of pigeons from England via the Netherlands to Cape Town. I will try Colin Surtee. As for Pieter Oberholzer, i e-mailed him nearly a week ago for advice and I am still awaiting a reply.

sounds like you are having a right game mate.

 

Shame I cannot bring them with me in the new year, but I do not think British Airways would play ball if I bundled uop the the plane with a basket full.

 

Instead of buying the stock why not see if the guys can package some eggs up nice and snug and send them down so long as you get them under your pairs within 7 to 10 days you should get some hatch.

 

Another thought is why not contact the people at the million dollar such as Zandy meyer etc.

 

If they can get 7000 birds shipped from all corners they should be able to point you in the right direction

The services of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics (Pty) Limited have been contracted. The company has extensive experience in the freighting of pigeons and will gladly assist you with getting your pigeon/s to South Africa and the loft.

The entry form and shipping details must be faxed to +27 11 680 4596 (Int.) / 011 680 4596 (RSA) on the day of shipment of your pigeons.

The requirements of the Directorate of Animal Health Import–Export Control Department of Agriculture, Republic of South Africa, dictate that an original health certificate must accompany your consignment. By using the accompanying health certificate / import permit, or if required by your local veterinarian their certificate in English, which then must quote the import permit number, you may airfreight your pigeons to South Africa.

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics (Pty) Limited have structured rates for consignments of up to six pigeons at the same cost of shipping one pigeon. Consult your telephone directory for their local office or contact them on +27 11 928 7000, for the name of their agent in your area.

Fax the official airfreight documents (before shipment leaves) to Hellmann Worldwide Logistics +27 11 974 3023/4–to ensure prompt clearance upon arrival.

Complete a commercial invoice for Customs purposes clearly stating "No Commercial Value"

The health certificate / import permit, commercial invoice and entry form must be sent with your pigeons to South Africa

Ensure consignments do not arrive on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays as Customs will not be open and shipments cannot be cleared.

South African entrants must fax their completed entry forms to 011 680 4596 on the day their pigeons are sent. Ertjies Noppe must also be informed prior to any shipment on 011 928 7000 or 083 630 5247. If the pigeons are air freighted a copy of the flight details and entry form must also be faxed to Ertjies Noppe on 011 974 3023/086 554 2706 beforehand.

Its more like a nightmare Paul I received another quote for GBP 800 excl. vat. I am beginning to have serious doubts about the shipping of the pigeons now

 

I thought that by sorting the Vet and Quarantine issue by having it done in the Netherlands, my problems would be over. Now am saddled with this huge expense of having to get the birds to the Netherlands.

 

I have contacted Hellman UK, and am awaiting a reply. I have also contacted Pipa's courier agents A.Hartrodt-PigeonTransport and asked them if they have agents in the UK that would be able to do the shipment.

Tell you mate get them to send 4 seperate batches of 1/2 dozen eggs, youll get some hatch no worries.
