Hi

Guys I'm sepataing my breeding pairs now and finish breeding for this year.

I just wanted to know that when I re pair them next year

Can I pair them up with deferant hen with deferant cock

Or would they recognise each other and start mating and nesting

( I heard pigeon mate for life )

Thanks

I change my breeding pairs every year, it's just a matter of getting the hens settled to their new boxes - she will usually follow this year's cock back to his box, but make sure that last years pair aren't allowed out of their boxes together during this settling-in period or you will get problems with the hen going to last year's box, and fighting with the new hen there.
