Sent a yearling Ck to the SNFC Clermont race and had it reported early today, the gist of the call was he was in a bad way ( not injured just exhausted) but the vet would be looking at him and i was to call tomorrow to arrange a Courier. I was delighted to be getting him back too, however the Vet phoned about 5.30pm and said despite a steroid injection he was a certainty to die before morning so he put it down.

Gutted about this, as he wasn't on my original pool sheet to go but i changed it at the last minute to include him.!!

A Shame that John, with a bit of luck he could have been the one, he certainly gave it his best :cry-blow:

Every cloud has a silver lining, mine on this occasion is the 2 Yb's in the nest he was racing to are doing well with the hen on her own

This is the Ck with the hen earlier in the season.

These are the 2 Yb's this Ck was racing to, they both handle very well, a credit to the hen who fed them for 3 weeks single handed My original intention was to offer these for sale but i canny replace them now so i'll keep them.
