Loft Flying

I'm a novice. This is my first year racing. My YBs don't seem too keen on flying for even half hour straight now. They're too interested in mating and covering their eggs. Is this normal?

Also, they are not on darkness but were early bred. They seem to have enough food because they leave some barley behind at morning feed. I am considering flagging because I can't afford to bring them down the road a few times per week. Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers
