OLDYELLOW Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 I would think this could scare them and more so if it bursts , i agree only thing that would calm them down would be to get them tame using a scarecrow sat in loft , simply stuff a boiler suit a draw a head on a ball , then be used to been around you
THE FIFER Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 better still get with them a lot and hand feed them,

Wiley Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 Always use balloons in the young bird shed up until 3 months old, there used to banging and clanging and any wild movements and get them dead tame, but they have to be done from weaning, they are full of confidence and never nervous. I know many fanciers who use flooters(plastic footballs) also to the same effect!
