A Taiwanese doctor has successfully removed nearly 30 ants from a girl's ear, the Mirror reports. Sources say the 16-year-old girl, who had been complaining of itchy ears, was taken to hospital after family members spotted two ants crawling out of her left ear. Doctors proceeded to remove six ants from her left ear, and 20 from her right.

After confessing that she often snacks in bed, experts believe the ants were initially attracted to food scraps in the girl's bed, before eventually finding their way into her ears while she slept.
