Guest strapper Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 just seen on skyy website that rooney has broken his ankle. 1st scans showed no break but these scans were a bit premature and now they have admitted that the swelling may have hidden the break. bad news for englands world cup dream with rooney and utds prem dream almost certainly over!

Roland Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Mixed feelings really. Yes of course I feel for Rooney. But I have never seen him as a National player. Indeed he has cost us dear in most games where and when it mattered. Not least buggering about in defence. He has no idea there and shouldn't be anywhere near our penalty area etc. let alone giving - dubious - penalties. Bookings etc. Puts the referees backs up needlessly - and doesn't realise that he hasn't the referees protection he enjoys at United. So yes he is a great player and ALWAYS protentially a match winner.... but for club mostly, and seldm for England. So for a club yes, England no! JMO
