dal2 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 I know someone who didn't agree with it and refused to inject his doos. He lost the lot in one month, November. I remember because i also konw someone who missed them only ONE year and he lost his entire young bird team, ALSO in November. For the sake of about £28 i'll Never risk it.!!Good old November(not) That moult is a stressful time for them!
Guest IB Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Good old November(not) That moult is a stressful time for them! I understand its a flu-type virus, is it an illness confined to winter months, or does it strike the whole year round?
dal2 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 No sure IB think it can strike anytime. Winter is always a prime I think cos thats when the birds are at their lowest due to the stresses of moult JMO http://www.wingswest.net/Pigeons/Health/Paramyxo/paramyxo.html
JohnQuinn Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 I understand its a flu-type virus, is it an illness confined to winter months, or does it strike the whole year round? I always put it down to the Moult taking its toll on the birds system so leaving them susceptible to infection. But that is an opinion not fact, not that i know of anyway.
budgie Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Do them in the nest at 14 days with Colombovac and Paratyphus you will not regret it.
