big blue bar Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 I ve started tossing them in single and twos . I think the perigine can spot the batch easier than when they are on there own or just two it might gives the doos the upper hand
Guest Freebird Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 All I know is when used in the house the dog runs a mile, wont come near you when you have it on, and the smell lasts for ages, just thought maybe a wee squirt on the birds tails, a cat was coming to a corner of my garage and i squirted some around the area, not seen it since,This is very interesting as all animals/birds etc. seem to have more accute sences than us. A while back I put forward an idea of something in the identity ring, electronic or smelly like the things you can get for mice deterents in your house. Only an idea mind you as I do not have the knowledge of electronics or what would repel raptors. It could be a certain frequency or the like, even a smell as this post suggests. If anyone in the know has any ideas then it could be quite profitable as well. Get the thinking caps on guys. Racers wear rings so something? could be incorporated in them just like your timing systems now. May seem daft but who knows!
frank-123 Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Ps..... 2nd toss today, Innerleithan which is about 35mls i'd guess. Another latebred Ck missing, but i expect heavy losses with them when i start them out, its the 6/8 that are left for the 2yr old stage that count. I was there as well John had a good toss but not up to speed yet think it is near 50 mile to me.
