Roland Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 And Stamvater Producer. and the Lengendry Stamvater was certainly that! Mind you won't find EyeSign as there is no such thing over there. Yes they have you would call 'Maters' wher certain so-called gentlemen have the knack of picking and mating ones birds. No they don't look at the eyes, but do make good money and apparently with quite good results. Stef Van Reet for instance - reportedly - only handled a bird and chose what he wanted to buy or not... Mind I feel (Personally) that he'd done some homework and was visiting / Buying from good fancier's stock.
just ask me Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 yeah great topic wiley and great thread for a sticky ill get it done

Mind I feel (Personally) that he'd done some homework and was visiting / Buying from good fancier's stock. You'll be surprised Roland, many say they didnt believe but many top performers named there pigeons by there colour of there eye like Albert Marcellis great cock the 'Geeloger', and why the Janssen Bros preferred the White eyed pigeons, Van Breeman also spoke on the subject and Vermeyen of Antwerp was also one of Belgiums best, and believed in eyesign as even a certain theory was named after him the Vermeyen ring, and as you mentioned Van Reet, you will notice alot of Vermeyen goes right back into there family, when his grandfather purchased them, i believe when Syefs grandfather died at the entire clearance Staf bought 3 half brothers all from the same Vermeyen hen and destroyed the competition with these cocks. It opens the can on did Van Reet know anything on eyesign, since his grandfather bought from Belgiums great eyesign expert?? But thats going off topic
