Chris the racepoints were changed on the advice of the race controller.>Seemingly there are problems at both sites ranging from overhead wires to American Radar Installations and the flightpath from Manchester Airport. It was thought inappropriate to go against the advice of the controller who has an extensive knowledge of these racepoints and yes it would have been nice to have this knowledge at the AGM when the racepoints were decided.I try to run this Federation on the best guidance I can get from experienced fanciers.Tell you what though it`s hard going aqt times

Thanks for the info Walter, most appreciated.

This instance is a reflection of when it comes to racepoint proposals in any organisation, not enough research if any carried out prior to submitting proposals.... jmo

Lockerbie Racing Pigeon Club will be race marking there birds at Hoddam on the kind invitation of there members as we are homeless at present due to major refurbishment works at auction mart with no guaranties at present on a return ,I for one would be all in favour of a future merger which i think personally would benefit both fancier and bird (more to hold there line once i got mine trained to keep up with stevens ) :emoticon-0157-sun::emoticon-0136-giggle:

As the secretary of Lockerbie I totally associate myself with Yeboah`s remarks.Mergers and amalgamations are the future for the survival of small and struggling pigeon clubs

Yeah Walter wouldn't make no difference to us as we fly into the north section each week quite happily just glad to see our birds return

Nae Probs steven i think we get a far better result in lockerbie when our birds are mixed with yours ,the north section bit is only a private joke between walter and myself as we only get eight miles of some fanciers and yet it is three days camel ride up here :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Yeah most prob will steven doesn't make any difference to walter and myself as no matter what direction we race our birds still got to come north from gretna with the east a1 route we loose even more mileage to our club mates Davy thinks xmas has came early :emoticon-0136-giggle: We just enjoy the taking part on race days and getting our birds fit for the nationals different ball game then if they are right
