883girl Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 I have been a happy member of AOL for many years. But the last 6 months have been awful with slow speeds and constant disconnections. They are in a word crap! Rather than look on the web, who do you think is a good broadband provider, one that is always working, doesnt cap your speed when they say it is unlimited? Any advice would be much appreciated as I need to change and soon. :
Bilco Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 Try a visit to Trend Micro first, take a House call. If no virus or trojan then look for an alternative server. I am with BT, good, fast, cheap. Cheers, Bill.

Fair Play Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Virgin Media is best in my opinion have been happy with the service since early days of Telewest. Help is only a phone call away and solve problems over the phone at least that has been my experience and some of the problems have been of my own making.

I dont think alot of Aol who i am with my service goes very slow at times i would be interested to know if Virgin serves Belgium though and especially lets them pay in the English Pound. I had BT when i was with my ex mrs and it was great but she took it with her (computer and everything else she could)
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Yes been with Virgin for many years and i would say they offer great service for a good price and also very fast, subject got me thinking back to 1999 when i first got connected to the internet and reminded me how lucky we are with the speed of service that we now have online compared to 1999 when back then you use to have to wait 5-10 + secs before page would change. > > > "Praise the Lord"
883girl Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 Thanks to everyone for their advice. I had problems with Virgin too, especially when i cancelled it, they billed us for 6 months afterwards and tried to take us to court, so i'll give them a miss! Decided on 02 broadband 16meg for a tenner a month
