OLDYELLOW Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Seriously tho, have had some stotters oot o single laid nests! One of my section winners was from a hen that laid one egg or several funny sized ones , as said i felt the eggs were on the small side although probably viable i removed after a few days and sat hen on a dummy till 10 days then removed hopefully next eggs will be perfect and a pair
Guest homestead Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 i have had four nest with only 1 egg in and checked them after several days and seem to be full so have left them, the hens are all various ages as well. I didn't know wether to put it down to stress because of the hawk problem i have
kirky Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 i think it is some times when thay go down early 5 to 7 days and only lay 1 egg.
