Tic Beans

Hey Guys,

 

Just wondering where i could purchase bags of tic beans for the pigeons,I'm in South Lanarkshire and usually purchase feeding from Galloway and Mcleod (Stonehouse)

 

They seem to have only 3 different mixes, and cant get tic beans in for some reason.

Coxydene in East Calder sell various straights one of them being tic beans.

Not sure how much they'll be mind you.Would imagine between £8 and £10 a bag.

Yeah, the stock birds are making a real mess with the feeding, flicking it everywhere, looking for the wee seeds. I remember using the tic beans with just hormoform and peanuts and the youngsters were great.

 

What do you guys feed the stock birds? any tips?

Not too different from what you said to be honest.Hormoform is good alongside any high protein feed.

I like Bamfords Channel mix but theres loads of good mixes out there.

I feed breed & wean and put concord in the nest box but I

will try some beans this year hav'nt used them in a long time.

I E-MAILED JOHN YOUNG OF OVERTON FARM TO SEE IF HE KNEW ANYONE WHO GROWS TIC BEANS LOCALLY IN LANARKSHIRE OR THEREABOUTS BUT NO LUCK AM AFRAID HE SAID HE DOES'NT KNOW ANYONE AROUND THIS WAY THAT GROWS THEM
