the SHU TRUST had a stall at Blackpool all to do with BOP, maybe would be good to get in touch with them, get something going together,

Ladies/Gentleman

 

Just phoned our local paper to ask to speak to someone to discuss the issue on BOPS, i briefley explained to him about the situation that the pigeon guys who keep any type of pigeons are in. He is at an Editorial meeting, and he is happy to take this on, he is going to phone me back on Thursday for a further discussion.

 

What sort of questions he is going to ask i just dont no yet, he may require some pics owe birds that have been slaughtered in there gardens, if you have anything that will be to better the pigeon guys, forward it onto my email addy, dougiedoos@hotmail.com

 

Will keep all informed of the outcome later on on Thursday.

Well done dougie lad. Its all about education as archie said. I think we need to remain calm not abuse supporters of bops, and again try and pass over some true information regarding the dangers that are posing to ALL birds, not just pigeons. If you were to say to the public that in the future soon, when you look out your window in the morning you will not see a single robin, sparrow, blackbird ect ect, it would attract some interest. When you open your window you wouldnt hear a single song being sung, again this is the area the public relate to. Pictures of a robin red breast on your Christmas cards is the only place you will see them. One step up from that is the way they are caught and eaten ie alive and struggling. Another area to venture is the medals received by pigeons during the war, and without the bravery of these birds, the war could have and probably would have ended differently. I wouldnt aim solely on pigeons as the public see them as a nuisance, our pigeons are in the same bracket as other garden birds. Just some ideas dougie that may help you out, i put in up here so that others could add to it for you as oppose to an e-mail..

This is the type of area we need to aim can you imagine IF we had the same support and interest in other ares of the country, we may just be moving in the right direction. This along with the shu petition, resignation of the big boy at rspb, we have a good opportunity to start to help our sport.

 

At the moment i,m very saddened at the lack of support for this. All we need is e-mail addresses of your local papers, and we can start to send monthly letters to them to bring the situation into the public eye. SO COME EVERYONE PLEASE DO YOUR EASY BIT FOR THE SPORT.

Thats the guy from the local paper just aff the phone there, he is going ti write something up and hopefully get it published in this weeks local paper.

 

Also mentioned about the other type of birds,sparrows, blackbirds, that are getting murderd by the BOP, not just the pigeons.

 

So will wait and see what happens from here.

this is why its important to show this eating other birds and the noise is very disturbing think if the public had to see this and hear it they would

not be amused here is a video the public should watch and here we can get loads of them on you tube to play even pay for a advert on the telly showing this killing garden birds i know we dont like magpies but there plenty other that do

theres a guy that writes in the scottish daily express under the name of hickey.he is well switched on about bops and hates the rspb in fact in todays edition he says that most murderers in prison are members of the rspb.i emailed him last night about the petion but no word yet .have alook boys hes pretty brutal.by the way i dont usually buy tory papers
