Guest cloud 9 Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 ok mate , is there a local fancier round u way who cud show u , its hard to explain , u got to bend a toe backwards
lvlasked Posted January 21, 2011 Author Report Posted January 21, 2011 i got an idea on how to put them on you put the font 3 toes in the ring first and then bend the back toe up toward the leg as i slip the ring up ? im guessing ill work it out haha
Guest cloud 9 Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 ya mate thats spot on , i leave mine till dead late , put marg or butter on the foot , an force the ring on , otherwise they slip them off an if u dont notice , u got a ringless pigeon , which is worthless
lvlasked Posted January 21, 2011 Author Report Posted January 21, 2011 ill try them at 5days then to get some pratice in that way if it comes off i got a day or 2 to catch it ?
billt Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 hey all i was wonding how long after my eggs hatch should i wait befor ringing them please7 to 9 days is about right, keep trying, if it goes on and comes off easily it's too early, you'll soon get the idea, I always put rings on the right leg and upside down, they are easier to read that way up, especially if you're working on the ringing at the club
Daisymay Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 4 or 5 day's,never heard of waiting till you got to FORCE it on with butter if you've never done it before 4 or 5 days' should be fine.just check the ring stay's on.
