Guest big slim Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 On sunday a fancier friend was admiring my hens. He picked a dark chequer hen. I said shes one of our best. 13th fed newark, 3rd fed selby, 203rd nat eastboune, 33rd nat ypres, 42nd nat falaise. Monday morning looked in at my 30 hens all but 1 looked great, yes dark cheq looked a bit off so i put her in basket. In afternoon she was worse, balance not right ,very weak so i gave her parastop. Tuesday morning she was dead. I was gutted but praying this would not spread, so far all birds are perfect including 2 18 year old cocks that live with hens. Dont know what killed her but it was hard to watch. Sorry about rambling on but i had to get it off my chest.
