Anyone any good on word 2007? HELP!

Im trying to do a report with maps and graphs and subheadings etc. When i want to add something all the formatting changes and the text goes everywhere. Im using to colums and the formatting is causing havoc!

 

Anyone got any tips?

Are you trying to add something that is wider than the column?

No im just trying to start a new paragraph, buy it wont let me click the cursor where i want to.

You have to Use 'enter'

 

as far as I'm aware you can't put the cursor where you want to on 'word'

i think its something to do with text wrapping also. When i click eneter, everything moves everywhere lol

I have used text wrapping before - but not when using columns - I don't find any need for it

I've used photos when using columns (but did not use text wrapping)

how do you make the photo so you can move it? I normally put it to tight or square and then you can move it. How should i do it?

Mate your better off with word 2003 if you have it but you'll be needind word wrap

Josh its nothing to do with that mate, its the way your saving your files.  I gave you Excell 2007 which  allows you to put in the Graph titles etc correctly and they wont' word wrap or anything.   If you can wait until the weekend I'll walk you through the whole process of integrating excell with word which is what I just did about ten minutes ago for a presentation I created.  Give me your phone number via p.m and I'll give you a ring when given the chance.

Hi mate

 

It isnt just with the graphs now, its not letting me put any photos where i want or the text. Its taking me ages to get everything where i need it and sometimes it just wont let me do it.
